Whether you shoot with a £10,000+ camera or your 10 year old mobile phone, we want to see your images! The competition is open to all and will attract absolutely no prizes other than the right to bask in a moments glory for a win or honourable mention.
We’ve created some categories for you to give some structure.
- Photo must be taken outdoors and in the period of January-February 2021.
- Add your name to the photo so we know whose it is.
- One entry per category per person.
- Judges decision will be final.
Photos can be colour, black and white or tinted if you prefer. Any photos covered in stickers from your phone’s image editing app will be ignored.
Once you’ve created each of your masterworks, then email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Remember to include your name and the category you’d like it included in.
The 5 categories are below alongside a few photos.
Maybe something you see on your favourite walk? (This sample is a bit of a cheat, unless you happen to live in Scotland and have somehow found our competition.)
Category: Adult portrait.
Maybe a member of your family, a friend or a helper in your community. Posed or candid.
Category: Child Portrait.
Maybe some outdoor homeschooling fun, or at play, or just looking especially cute.
Here we’re looking for a photo of something which strikes you as an interesting shape or mix of shapes. Maybe something with pleasing symmetry? Got a place where the lamp posts line up just so? See some interesting sky trails? Or a close up of something perhaps?
The scope is wide open here, so just go for it.
An image of a pet animal, can be cute or active. Can be your pet or someone elses. A photo which shows something of the character of the animal.
Should be taken outdoors if the pet is suitable. If it’s a pet budgie or similar, the photo can be taken indoors.
