Join us on the 15th June for our annual church beach trip!
Where are we going?
We will be meeting at Avon beach, Christchurch a little along the coast from Bournemouth. Avon beach is a mix of sand and shingle, and has some lovely clifftop walks and a play park nearby. On the day we’ll be sharing our exact location on the church WhatsApp group via what3words, and sharing the google map location. Alternatively head to just outside the noisy lobster restaurant and, if you can’t see us, give Lizzie a phone call: 07717758241.
When are we meeting?
Whenever you want! Lizzie and Tom will be at the beach from 10:30am marking out our space. You can arrive any time you want and stay as late as you want.
How do we get there?
Please make your own way to the beach. If you need a lift to the beach or have space in your car let Lizzie know and she can try and help co-ordinate lift. Please indicate the length of time you were hoping to stay at the beach so we can match you up accordingly. We cannot guarantee that people will be able to give lifts but will do our best to help arrange one!
Where should we park?
See map below. Avon beach has a small pay and display car park right on the beach, plus a larger one a 5-minute walk away. There’s also free on road car parking along the beach and in the surrounding area.
What should we bring?
Anything you might need to enjoy a fun day out at the beach! Bring your own food, or money to buy something to eat (there’s a few cafés a short walk from Avon beach and more options including fish and chips a short drive away). Don’t forget suncream and swimwear if you want to head into the sea!
What if the weather is bad?
Unfortunately, if the weather forecast is really bad, we will be cancelling the trip. We will email the church and notify you via our WhatsApp group. If you want to join us and you do not yet receive communication from the church via email or WhatsApp let us know and we will make sure you get notified.
